Dream Dance Trance
Dream Dance Trance
DREAM DANCE TRANCE
dream dance trance
but she pushed on the walls
while i sorted philosophies
her name was flower and sungold
and time - - with terpsichore
weaving her mind.
a death dance a doing
to ponder the past
reflections ahead like
a mirror
but death isn't one
when you never have lived
and death is eternity.
dream dance spoken with
petals for lips and a husky
low whisper then tried
she smiled and laughed and
questioned then
and i looked and knew
that i'd died.
i spun a few rhymes
and pointed at stars
and rehearsed of attitudes
but my heart wanted freedom
and wanted her too, alas!
just what could I do?
my love letters likened to the
dropping of stones through
ice covered deep-standing
pools; but after the letters
and no promise ahead
I saw myself as a Fool.
Love is there and beautiful
sings of sharing and caring
and woe; but I laugh a lot, and
question of love which wings
and where does it go?
hours we spent and i knew her
smiles and her lips brushed
firmsmooth and fine; but when
those tears in my cold soul
laughed, two roses fell from
the vine.
I miss her now and i'm lonely here,
and distance insulation can be
but there on the waves my heart
is floating -- on waters formed
of her seas.
