Ever wonder, what it means to be "free"? For years I have wondered that same question myself, I have come down to a conclussion, besided the obvious, such as "freedom is an opinion, not a fact" atleast that is what a lot of my friends tell me, it's not that I don't beleive it, but their reasons don't make any sence, in some sort or fashion it includes working and making money!
In my opinion that is not "freedom" Allow me to explain myself, I beleive freedom is not man made or granted, it is not a right and its not a prize, its an opinion. I love cars and everything it is, from the engine to the smallest detail on it, it's something out of the ordinary for me, it's not work for me to be under a car replacing a part or simply cleaning a chromed out 750 double pump carb. To me it's entire freedom, I can be under a car all day and wont expect pay or anything, sure, having a place to eat or sleep or even to bathe cost some money. But, what happened to all those people who traveled helping other people going place to place, to see new people, or new places. That, my friend, is Freedom!, being able to talk to anyone without the fear of being judged, or without being shot at or mugged. To be able to travel and see all the wonderfull places this world has to offer.
I know what a lot of people are thinking, "but what about the money to get there". Some people forget that there are special trades that everyone has, and everyone can benefit from it, it's just up to the person how they use it. In today's world no-one is willing to teach you something without wanting pay of some sort. But what happened to teaching because you like to teach, or simply just because you want to make someone's life easier or better.
It sucks I know! That is why I am poor, and I mean "money" I do what I can for people for free! I don't just do the work, I teach it. That way, the next time, they can do it themselves. Trade and Barter is what I do. My mission is to work for free where ever it is that needs help. If I need gas, then i will work at a gas station, if I need some help with working on my car, then I will work in a mechanic shop. If I need a place to sleep, I have the world to do so. No matter what its is that I may need, it's there, and it can be for free. Why? do something you don't like to do everyday, when you could be doing what you want to do for free. Freedom seems to be just a dream and I can't wake up, the world seems to be awake and no-one tends to lend a hand, everyone seems too busy worried about how to pay the next bill, and it's sad to see that everyone lost that urge to feel free or happy! everyone seems to be slaves to what is now known as survival in this modern and greedy world. If freedom means that I have to work everyday doing something I don't like, or doing something everyday because you "have to", to pay the bills! If the is the case then I don't ever want to wake up, let me be and let me sleep!
