Dreaming of Writing the Greatest Unsolved “Cold Case” Mystery

As a criminal justice graduate, I was able to realize the dream of working on an unsolved murder that had stumped law enforcement for over 20 years. And now my dream is to tell others about it—especially the fact that I uncovered a witness never interviewed and most likely spoke to the killer. I get goose bumps just remembering the conversation and the way the hair stood up on the back of my neck as I listened to his spiel.

While I’ve wanted to write a novel as early as the age of 18, I never thought about trying to fight crime or investigating unsolved murders “cold cases” until years later. So now that I’ve seen stuff others only read about, I would love to put it all on paper and let mystery readers in on what really goes on behind the law enforcement scenes—and educate them on how to spot a killer themselves.
