Dreams
Dreams
When I dream of her she is beyond beautiful, in the real she has become ugly to me. In my head I never want to leave her side, in the daylight I can't wait to get away. In the fantasy her voice is like a song, today it is like a crow. In the beginning her eyes had nothing but love for me, in the end they have only comtempt. I was her shiny knight now I am her yellow coward. I used to long to see her, to feel her embrace, I wish I still felt that way. Her kisses have warmed my mind. My smile was never forced. All that was no longer is. My dreams have changed.

short and bittersweet
It isn't so much what was said but all that wasn't.
Boy I sure hope my spouse never feels that way about me.
Thank you
Thank you - I think. This was just something I felt the day I wrote it - a bad day. Luckily, my good days greatly out number the bad.
It was a compliment
I guess that sort of sounded like a "left handed" compliment. I did mean it in a good way, to be able to say so few words and yet say so much...just goes to show you, even bad days can be inspiring.
It's always a good idea to put our thoughts down on paper.
Very thoughtful and well-written poem you have there. I enjoyed reading it even though it sounded sad. Some days are good, some are bad, but they all carry some meaning. Thanks for sharing. +1

Thank you
Thanks. I don't write many short things so it is great to hear the compliments.
