Drug Counseling 101

Drug Counseling 101

Ok it’s about time I let you guys see that I am not always quite so serious. Here is a fun idea, you may or may not want to try.
While going through a custody battle a few years ago accusations were being tossed back and forth about illegal drug abuse? As opposed to the legal type where you get a Rx from your Dr. and get strung out on Zanex, Vicodin, Valium etc… which is perfectly ok.

When I was a teenager, and up until I was about 23 years old, I was, well, lets just say a rambling man. My ex-wife decided to bring up things that were twenty years old during our custody battle. It was a bit embarrassing and humiliating as I am not proud of those things. However, I do have a sense of humor and thought this would be fun to try if it ever happens again.

I was ordered to go for a state evaluation to determine if I was on drugs or needed drug counseling. At that time I didn’t have the nerve to do this but if there is ever a next time I will. I thought it would be really funny when the interviewer entered the room and greeted me if I very seriously replied with “Good afternoon Mr. or Mrs. interviewer I am glad to get this process started but before we begin who is the gentleman that came in with you? "

Of course in reality there is no other person that came in with them. You see they already think you’re a freak so why not have a little fun? When they reply with “:excuse me but I came in alone. “That’s when you begin to get upset and insist with “if this is some sort of joke you are playing I don’t think this is funny at all! I would respectfully ask that he leave the room or I am not going to be able to participate in this interview! Now get him out.”

About this time you begin pretending to engage in a conversation with the non-existent entity. Such as “I am sorry sir, it is nothing personal against you, but I was told this would be a one on one interview.” “I understand your training but that was not what I agreed to!!!”

You get the idea. Have fun and good luck on your custody battle!
