Drunken Idiot Steals Canoe, Drowns

Apparently the fact that he couldn't swim wasn't enough to deter Christopher Mayo, 22, of Orlando from stealing a canoe while on a bender. After getting roaring drunk with his buddies, Edward Geib, 17, and Robert Geib, 15, the trio stole a canoe for a little midnight paddle around Lake Waunatta. The balance of drunks being what it is, the three soon capsized and the Geib brothers swam to safety. But Mayo wasn't so lucky, or such a good swimmer. He drowned in 4 to 6 feet of water. The lesson: if you can't swim swiping water-craft is not the best crime option.
