The Better Messages module gives you more control over where and how Drupal messages are displayed. Various skins and animations can be applied to make a custom look.

The module in its current form allows for the following:

• Control the position and width of the popup message relative to screen.
• Control the animation for opening, and for closing the popup message.
• Enable or disable popup messages at specific pages.
• Override the default popup message by coping and altering better_messages.tpl.php into your theme directory.
• Create custom skins by putting your skinname.css file into skins folder in your theme directory.

This modules degrades gracefully for browser with JS disabled.

The Better Messages module uses standard jQuery (Drupal's JavaScript library of choice), and has no further module dependencies.
