Watch what you post to your MySpace account. It just may get you in trouble. That is, if you happen to post naked pictures of underage girls, like Alex Phillips, of La Crosse, Wi. Phillips was charged with possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child after police perused his MySpace because of a tip received from another department. They found two nude photos of an unidentified 16 year-old girl.

Phillips, proving that he's both blindingly stupid and amazingly arrogant, refused to take the pictures down. Clearly he has no idea he's about to be branded the worst sort of sex-offender - a pedophile - for the rest of his life. His reply when police told him he could end up in the clink? "F*** that. I'm keeping them up." Treating pictures taken of a willing 16 year-old as child pornography on the same level as pictures of a five year-old is arguably asinine, but the sheer cluelessness of Mr. Phillips makes it a little hard to find sympathy for him.

MySpace has yet to comment on the story.
