Dumbledore in Harry Potter Books is Gay, Rowling Reveals
J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books, has revealed that the character Albus Dumbledore is gay.
It has been suspected by some fans of the book series that the master wizard and Headmaster of Hogwarts was a homosexual, but Rowling made it official in an appearance at New York's Carnegie Hall. Rowling is on a tour of the U.S. and read from one of the Harry Potter books at Carnegie Hall as well as answering questions.
A Harry Potter fan asked if Dumbledore would find love, and Rowling replied frankly, "Dumbledore is gay."
She went on to explain that Dumbledore had been in love with his rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated in battle a long time ago.
With Rowling continuing her U.S. tour, who knows what other bombshells she might drop...
