Dwayne Wade, LeBron James Spark U.S. Win Over China in Olympic Basketball
Dwayne Wade scored 19 points and LeBron James 18 to lead the U.S. over host China in the Olympic basketball tournament. The game was close through the first half, but the U.S. finally wore down the Chinese in the third quarter and pulled away to win 101-70.
China kept the game close by hitting one three pointer after another, but those long-distance shots weren't falling in the second half and the U.S. team was able to swap in one All-Star after another and took advantage of a high number of Chinese turnovers.
Home favorite Yao Ming opened the game's scoring with a surprised three-pointer to the approving cheers of the Beijing crowd. He finished with 13 points despite recovering from an injured left foot.
The U.S. basketball team is looking to bounce back from a series of underachieving performances in international competition in recent years. China, which is still relatively new to competing basketball at the international level, is hoping to make it to the medal round.
The U.S. plays its next game on Tuesday against Angola.

Yeah, just finished watching part of the game..I kinda pictured Yao responding to his NBA buddies talking crap with something like "Dude, I was playing with a bunch of Chinese guys! I can't carry the whole team!"
Nah...not really..

Yao Ming plays ball with his homies
Yeah, he towers over his Chinese teammates (literally and figuratively). They've got some good players, but it's nothing like the NBA.
