To accept credit cards online, you will need a website, a shopping cart, a secure payment gateway, an SSL certificate, and a merchant account. I will acknowledge that it is possible to sell online without some of these features, although I do not recommend it. PayPal is one option that allows small businesses such as very small eBay-type to accept credit cards without any of the normal infrastructure...
