Earn a coffin!

Earn a coffin!

Go to work in the morning and return home in coffin.
These the working conditions in Italy: more than mafia and criminal underworld!
Working in yards, factories is one of the most dangerous things you can do in Belpaese.
In Italy each year die on average more than 1,000 people for injuries at work, 4 workers per day.
Today 9 people died at work: six workers died while washed the filter of a bathtub in Sicily.
Three months ago the same in Molfetta, where 5 workers died intoxicated in a 'Truck center'. In addition to the seriousness of the episode, the five victims died to save the comrades.
Between 2004 and 2007 were more deaths at work in Italy than those of soldiers in the Gulf War.
The security measures are not met, to save money, many employers think .
But can you save on safety equipment and lose lives?
The daily murder of workers is caused by employers who do not care to enforce the safety-rules at work of their employees.
Died as the slaves who built the pyramids, in a country made up of precarious workers, underpaid, without rights and without visibility, because the information is paid by their employers.
One million incidents a year with a worker killed on average every 7 hours, a total of 1,300 deaths every 12 months because of work.
Working should not mean dying and when it happens means that some things do not work.

Strange

There is a strange situation in Italy: people need to work and accept all they give them for little money (most in South Italy). We have unions in Italy too, but as you can see, they haven't the power they need. The italian workers don't know exactly, they have the right to a safe work. I think, the most people don't know what this means. We have inspections too, but if you have money to pay the inspector, all workplaces are safe... When I read the italian news, sometimes I think there is always the same new every day: 4 workers died at workplace! And I'm sad, because I know exactly, there are always "new" news.

Slaves

I was under the impression that the slaves who built the pyramids were treated very well (as far as slavery goes anyway) because they were needed to be strong and healthy. Workplace safety in Canada is enforced by government agencies - employees have the right to refuse unsafe work, report directly to the Ministry of Labour about safety hazards, and when someone gets hurt bad enough to shut things down or (heaven forbid) dies, there is a thorough investigation. If we even get a scratch or pinch etc. we are supposed to fill out reports... Are there no unions in Italy to look out for the workers? If not then the workers might want to get together here, no job is worth the loss of a family member. Get Paid $$$ to Write!
