You have full control over your royalty amount which is added to the retail price of the merchandise you're selling. You may want to compare prices of similar items on Zazzle and Cafepress to see it your prefer one over the other to get started.

Both Zazzle and Cafepress have a pretty extensive FAQ area where you can find answers to practically any question you may have. Cafepress also has a learning center with design tips and tutorials how to convert images and save them as transparencies. The tutorials cover how to change images in both Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop.

Once you have your merchandise designed with your image and wording you then post it for sale. Once your items are posted for sale you can start promoting them on blogs, social networks and personal web site. Another great site to promote your merchandise is called Squidoo.com.

On Squidoo.com you can create single page web sites with any theme you wish. You can create as many single pages as you like for different themes and it's all free. Squidoo supports html coding so you can cut and paste your item and gallery codes from Cafepress and Zazzle.

By using SEO (search engine optimization) and submitting these web pages to search engines you can get your products out there and with time start getting visits and hopefully sales.
