Easter symbols

Jesus rose from the dead inside a rock tomb on Sunday and that’s why Sunday has to be the day for Easter and no other day. There are many symbols used during Easter to symbolize Jesus Christ and his resurrection. The tradition dated back to ancient time until now. People still use the same symbols throughout Easter holiday.
One symbol that is use is the eggs and coloring of the eggs. The egg belongs to the bunny that belonged the goddess of Spring. The egg represents a new life like the resurrection of Jesus Christ and his new life afterward. The bunny represents a new life in ancient time but the bunny was also an animal that was by the side of the goddess of Spring. Chicks are also a symbol of a new life during Easter. The Easter flower is the white Lilies. The white Lilies represent the purity of Jesus. White lilies are used for every Easter. The lamb is also a symbol that represents Jesus, “the Lamb of God.” The cross is a symbol that was always display everywhere and it represents Jesus victory over death.
Palm branches are also a symbol during Easter because people used palm branches to welcome Jesus into Jerusalem. Easter large hats are worn too and it’s a symbol for the holiday. Hot cross buns are buns with a frost cross around it to represent Jesus. Candles are also a symbol to represent Jesus as the light of the world. Pretzels are eaten during the fasting time and the twisted shape represent crossed arms in prayer. Easter flowers like daffodils and tulips represent spring and a new life. Baby animal is also a sign of Easter and it represents a sign of a new life. The butterfly represents the stages of Jesus’s life.
