Easy Sausage Gravy Recipe - For Biscuits - Inexpensive and Tasty Breakfast

½ - 1 lb. sausage (your favorite brand), crumbled and browned in a pan

After the sausage is browned do not drain. Sprinkle 2 TBSP flour over the browned sausage, stir and cook for a minute or two.

Slowly add 2 cups milk. Canned evaporated milk is the absolute best for this. Canned milk gives gravies the best flavor. For rich gravy I suggest you use canned milk mixed with water to make 2 cups.

Stir as you add the milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring to keep out flour lumps.

Salt and pepper to taste. A little extra pepper is good in this gravy.

I like the “grands” butter biscuits with sausage gravy. Such a good breakfast. Add a couple of scrambled or fried eggs and you are a rock star chef.
