Easy Pizza Bake Recipe
“Crust”:
2 tubes refrigerator biscuits
1 small can tomato sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Italian seasoning blend
Small amount oil or olive oil to oil the pan.
Any topping you like. Below is our favorite:
½ lb ground beef, browned and drained
½ lb ground sausage, browned and drained
½ yellow onion, finely diced
½ green bell pepper, finely diced
2 cans sliced mushrooms
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
Oil the pan. Pat the biscuits into the pan making sure they are evenly spread out and you don’t have holes in your “crust”. Top with tomato sauce and seasonings. Then add your favorite toppings to your crust. The one listed is the one my family likes the best but you can improvise and add anything you like.
Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 25-40 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to brown. The amount of time to bake will depend on the types and amounts of toppings you add.
Cut into squares and serve. Best if you offer forks to eat this with. This recipe can be cut in half easily using a 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 pan.
