An Easy Way to Clean Your Microwave
posted November 23, 2008 - 9:23pmThe microwave is such a nifty invention. It allows us to have very nice meals in seconds that taste like we spent hours toiling over the stove. Leftovers become almost as good as when they were first put on the table when the magical microwave heats them up evenly and perfectly.
If there is one flaw in the microwave, it is that all of that penetrating heat that gives us our re-heated gems also tends to make things bubble up and explode. The result: nastiness spread all over the inside. Sauces and food bits are pasted to the side of the microwave, and with each re-heating become ever more difficult to wipe clean.
Here's how to make cleaning up your microwave a breeze:
Grab a lemon or a lime. Both work equally as well. Slice it in half and put it in the microwave. Give it a nice 45-second heating. The juices steam up and coat the entire inside of the microwave with one of the best natural cleaners known to man. Afterwards, remove your lemon or lime and grab a paper towel. All the sludge wipes clean with minimal effort.
