Ebola-like Virus Poses A Threat to American Troops

A U.S. medical team was sent to Afghanistan to collect blood samples, after one soldier died from Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever.   The disease, which  is caused by an Ebola-like virus is transmitted by infected blood and can be carried by ticks. The  incubation period of the virus is anywhere from 1-9 days, and the mortality rate is 30 percent
