Economic Stimulus Package: How Much Will You Get, and When?
Curious what Bush's Economic Stimulus Package 2008 means for your wallet? You could have extra cash -- as much as $1,800 for some married couple with two children -- after filing your taxes this April.
According to predictions, the payments, in the form of additional tax refunds, will begin to arrive in May or June 2008.

However, the payments of $600 per adult will be made to those who qualify -- ie, those who are legal residents with social security numbers and who earn enough to pay federal income taxes, but not more than $150,000 for married couples filing jointly.
Those who make too little -- or have too many deductions -- to pay federal income tax, but who still pay social security and "Payroll taxes" will be eligible for smaller checks, perhaps around $300 each, although details are sketchy.
The package, designed to help a faltering U.S. economy, may also include assistance for homeowners facing foreclosure, among other programs.
However, many fiscal conservatives doubt the long-term effectiveness of the plan, worrying that it may put the country further into trouble and increase the national debt.
