The Elephant Sanctuary: Happily Ever After for Exploited Elephants

The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee, is a heaven on earth for fifteen Asian and African elephants who were formerly exploited and abused in circuses and zoos.   They can never be returned to the wild, but this is the next best thing, where they have many acres to roam, no humans to gawk at them or make them perform demeaning tricks, and dedicated caretakers, including a reformed circus elephant trainer, who look after their health and well-being.  If you haven't heard of this magical place, read this article about it, check out their website and web cam, and find out how you can help.
