The National Baby Food Festival is one of the most popular and highly attended food festivals in the United States. If you’ve ever wondered about the adorable picture of the Gerber baby that is found on most baby food jars, then you won’t want to miss this exciting and entertaining celebration. Interestingly enough, the Gerber Company is located in the city of Fremont and sponsors many of the events and activities associated with The National Baby Food Festival.

You’ve probably tried baby food at some point in your adult life and have found it to be rather distasteful, but you might change your mind after visiting The National Baby Food Festival. The baby food cook-off is one of the most highly anticipated events, and the food is actually quite delicious. Most of the National Baby Food Festival’s activities are geared to please the whole family. Some of the attractions include: blindfolded baby food taste tests, the crawl contest, the baby photo contest, and the bike race. In addition, the festival is offering a family spa day where you can purchase a minute of massage for a dollar. Or, you can get a new haircut for only eight dollars. The dunk tank and softball tournaments always draw the attention of the crowds. The highly praised bed race is back once again, so get your team together to race down the street on your bed on wheels.

This event is open to both the public and merchants alike. The main attraction at the National Baby Food festival includes a concert hosted by the ever so popular band, Firehouse. Their opening band will be KISS’D and will surely have everyone dancing out of their seats. The tickets for the rock concert are $12.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door, so be sure to plan ahead for this evening of music. For the concert, the gates open at 6:00pm, and the show starts at 7:00pm. The National Baby Food festival is also being sponsored by renowned artist, Randy Houser, whose newest songs can be heard by logging into the National Baby Food Festival’s website.
