When I bought my Sony PSP this was an essential item. The kit includes everything you should need to reap the full PSP experience. Well everything but custom firmware but that's a topic for a completely different blurb. If you own a PSP but haven't come across this kit you should definitely check it out. Considering at the time of writing this blurb the PSP kit sells for less than six bucks over at buy.com there's really no excuse not to pick it up.
