Ex-boxer homeowner, 72, beats up the burglar, 24
posted July 1, 2009 - 3:33pmBack in August 2008, Gregory McCalium, the 24 yr old burglar, entered the wrong house – the house of the retired boxer Frank Corti, 72.
It turns out McCalium, a bartender, held a grudge over a noise complaint lodged by Corti. So he wanted to teach the old man a "lesson"...
When McCalium produced a knife, he was beaten really bad by the old-timer.
"'I was scared when he first threw the knife, but most people would have acted in the same way," Corti told London's Daily Mail. "If you can't defend what's yours, where are we at?"
Prosecutor Angela Morris told Gregory McCalium that "you got what you deserved."
And this is what McCalium got: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/us_world/2009/06/30/2009-06-30_24yearold_burglar_.html
The young burglar also got a 4.5 yr jail sentence.
LESSON: make sure you know whom you're up against before taking on anybody on a grudge.
