An Experiment in Stereotypes- The Dumb Blonde Myth

Unfortunately, the myth that blondes are dumb is still alive and well in the good old USA. Where this myth started is something I will never know. I am not a natural blonde, I was born with brown hair. Well later in life I thought I would become like one of those commercials I grew up with back in the 60's. They were the blondes really do have more fun commercials. Anyway, little did I know how much becoming blonde would affect my life and how men treated me. I was astounded at the difference. Check out my story and find out how one night I put a man to the test about blondes!

So they say!

So they say some people will treat you one way, and if you come out in public the next day wearing a blonde wig those very same people will treat you so much should I just say (more stupid).  I wonder why like you knocked out part of your brains or something as you put the wig on.  It just doesn't make sense to me.

I was watching Oprah one time many years ago.  I don't even turn the TV on when she comes on anymore actually I would turn it off to keep from seeing her, but she was talking to Dolly Parton after someone had called in calling Dolly a dumb blonde.  Dolly said something along the line of that didn't bother her, because she knew she wasn't dumb, why she even knew she wasn't a blonde.  Anyone looking very close can tell that all that hair she wears is a wig, so she could have any color hair, but that man was rather dumb for suggesing that a woman making as much money as Dolly makes is dumb was what I thought then and still think it now .

Great work my friend!
