Extensive Farming: A Misnomer

Illiteracy doesn’t have anything to do with intelligence or diplomas. Time and again it hits somebody who really should know better. At one time, it quite obviously hit some agriculturist, when he coined the label extensive farming.

Like most or even all labels, extensive farming is a fraud. Not because it does anything, but it certainly doesn’t express the opposite of intensive farming. So why on earth didn’t the inventor at least think beyond his very limited view of the Great Plains? It is most annoying that children in school will be saddled with these illiterate labels for a lifetime.
