Fading Memories

Fading Memories

When my family gets together and my brothers and I start to reminisce, it invariably happens that one of us steals a memory from another. What I mean is, someone will claim to have done something and someone else will argue that they were the one that did it. Sometimes it gets a little heated and then we just have to laugh at how bad our memory’s are. I mean, it’s not like we’re seniors yet, the oldest is 50. It’s a little scary to think what we’ll be like ten years from now. What’s even funnier is that our mother doesn’t remember anything we did as kids. Maybe it was the stress of having 4 healthy, active children or maybe it’s her age, who knows. I do know that she’s not a lot of help when it comes to trying to figure out who did what. I guess that’s why it’s a good idea to keep a diary, too bad we didn’t think of that then. I imagine we’ll keep going like we’ve been, really, does it matter who did it, I don’t think so, it happened, and at least we agree upon that.
