Fallout 3 is a game where you are born in a post-apocalyptic earth in 2277. Fallout 3 starts of with you being born in vault 101 and having to live your childhood years in vault 101. this section of the game is basically the character selection/customization and tutorial level. Fallout 3 is massively customizable and is made by the same makers of oblivion4:eldar scrolls and uses the same basic engine. after you leave the vault you enter Washington DC when i left the vault for the first time i realized what a big game in terms of gameplay Fallout 3 really is.

In game after you leave vault 101 and have explored around the MASSIVE world you soon realize that there is a HUGE range of weapons,items,quests,enemies and characters. the weapons range from a baseball bat to an MIRV (a super weapon in fallout 3 that fires 8 mininukes at the same time!). and in terms of quest you can blow up a town, help write a book, help the enclave and much more. in fact there is about 111 hours of quests in Fallout 3 and about 90% of them are extremely detailed and long.

The combat system in Fallout 3 can be clasic FPS or you an use the new V.A.T.S (vault-tech.assisted.targeting.system).with V.A.T.S you can pause time and select the parts of the body you want to fire at and how may rounds/action points you want to use. (you need action points to use V.A.T.S otherwise fallout 3 would be to easy). although V.A.T.S isn't very accurate, especially in the beginning of the game, the accuracy does improve a lot if you chose the right perks and put enough points in the right stats.

The RPG side of Fallout 3 is not the best i have seen or used as it only goes to level 20 and Fallout 3 gets quite boring after you reach level 20. Although Bethesda studios might release a patch in the future along with downloadable content to allow you to go higher than that. the main RPG stuff in the game consists of putting points into attributes every time you level up and also every time you level up ypu get to choose a perk. so if you want your character can be really good with small weapons and blow peoples heads of with a scoped magnum, or you could have and ultra sneaky character that just avoids all the enemies instead. and my favorite is putting alot of my attribute points in big guns so i can use a flamethrower really efficiently and effectively (and also because its quite fun burning ghouls).

i rate this game 94/100 as it is one of the most fun and best game's i have ever played i just think the RPG engine could be improved a bit.
