Fantasia Barrino's American Idol Performance Outshined Syesha Mercado Departure

American Idol fans voted, last night was Syesha Mercado's was axed from the show. It was supposed to be Syesha's last time to shine on the American Idol stage.
No one noticed Syesha Mercado's last performance, she was outshined by the winner of American Idol four years ago, Fantasia Barrino.
Fantasia burst onto the American Idol stage with flaming red hair, skin hugging black sequined jumpsuit and a voice that sounded more like screaming than singing.
It was an odd performance by Fantasia, even though it outshined the other performers and took the spotlight away from departing American Idol contestant, Syesha Mercado.
Maybe that was Fantasia's plan.
