Fat Cowboy Goes Vegan for a Month for Dr. Oz Show, Loses Weight and Lust for Meat
posted November 5, 2009 - 2:06pmProfessional cowboy Rocco Wachman accepted Dr. Oz's challenge to go on a vegan diet and exercise more for 28 days to improve his health and lose weight. He had the heart of an 85 year old and his blood sugar was far too high and his good cholesterol too low. nbsp; After a month of seven meals a day of vegan fare during which he said he was never hungry, Rocco lost 30 pounds and was able to go off two of three of his medications. The kicker is that this life-long meat eater ate some meat loaf after the diet was officially over and didn't like the taste anymore.
So who says plant-based living is boring and unhealthy?
At last report, Rocco had no plans to go back to his animal-based junk food diet.
