Those who like eating meat and poultry are also wary of the adverse effects the fat can have on the body. Meat and poultry are quite rich in protein as well as Fat (this is a concern).

Here are some simple ways you can reduce that fat in your cooked non-veg dishes.

1) Using a small and sharp knife, trim off whatever fat that is visible from the meat and cook it as you would usually.

2) Cream off the fat from stews and soups - After you've cooked it chill it in the refrigerator overnight, and then cream off the solid fat from the surface.

3) Always get rid of the skin from the poultry. The skin can be pulled off easily as it is loosely bound.

These are things we are aware of but not all of us do them. These simple techniques will help cut down on your unnecessary fat intake.
