FDA says Flu Drug may be Affecting Kids Behavior
posted November 26, 2007 - 10:38amGovernment health official are recommending the addition of precautionary labels to common flu drugs for children. There have been reports of neurological problems in children according to a safety report issued by the Food and Drug Administration for the products Roche's Tamiflu and Glaxo's Relenza.
Side effects include hallucinations and convulsions. Twenty-five deaths have been reported, mostly in Japan, with five children's death described as falling from balconies or running into traffic.
