A Few Tips On How To Treat A Yeast Infection

Many women buy yeast infection medicines, drugs and cream from the local drug store. A natural cure for yeast infection will probably be better for you in the long run.

Here are some Yeast Infection remedies that have been recommended by fellow sufferers.

Plain Yoghurt has good bacteria which helps fight yeast and can be used both internally and externally. Be sure you buy plain unsweetened yoghurt though as sugar feeds yeast. One thing to remember though is that if you leave yoghurt on for too long it will have the opposite effect. Once it has done it's job you will need to wipe it off as leaving it on too long will make you feel itchier due to the moisture.

Garlic is one of the most effective of the home remedies and is a big enemy of yeast. Inserting one garlic tab or a garlic clove into the vagina every few hours or as needed will provide soothing relief.

Apple Cider Vinegar - with the mother this is another remedy that can be used both internally and externally. It is very strong however and it is not recommended that you apply it directly to the skin. It will kill the yeast but you will burn like nothing you have probably experienced before. The best external method is to take a cup of it and add it too a nice hot bath. It is important to make sure you use vinegar with the mother as it is more natural and less processed. Never use plain white vinegar as it actually feeds the yeast instead of killing it.

Oil of Oregano is an amazing herb and is very potent against yeast. This is to be taken internally and make sure you follow any instructions. You must make sure that the oil you choose has a high carvacrol content as this is the active ingredient.
