Fidel Castrol Says U.S. Fooled World Over 9/11

This article is about Cuban leader Fidel Castro and his views that the United States government misinformed Americans and the world about the 9/11 attacks.

The article states that "In an essay read by a Cuban television presenter on Tuesday night, Castro said the Pentagon was hit by a rocket, not a plane, because no traces were found of its passengers."

Great Point About George Washington

You're right about George Washington only wanting to serve two terms. In those days, they certainly didn't envision members of Congress serving for decades and forgetting why they are even there in the first place. I think two terms for Senators are more than sufficient and about 5 terms for Congressman as their terms are two-years each. That way, it allows for there to be some experienced people in Congress but things don't reach a point where you practically have to use dynamite to blow them out of their seats when they've been there so long and have taken root. :)

I don't think it's so much lying as...

I don't think it's so much lying as just plain not knowing the truth anymore. Consider Dubya. His grandfather, Prescott Bush was a professional liar. His father, George H.W. Bush, was head of the CIA and a professional liar (but I repeat myself). Our current president was raised in a family culture of lying to the point where it is difficult to distinguish between the two. Many of the other career politicians are also the offspring of politicians or have been politicians so long they don't know much else. One of the precedents that George Washington wanted to set by only serving two terms as President is that this country wasn't supposed to have career politicians. A person was supposed to only serve a term or two and go home to live under the laws he legislated. What we have now is more akin to royal succession than elected representation. Career politicians stay in office in Washington, complete with certain perks paid for by special interest groups and lobbyists. Their children are raised not having to work and following the example set by their parents. By the time the child becomes an adult, he or she is not only corrupt, he or she is fully indoctrinated into the ways of a career politician. How is that person supposed to relate to you or me, who actually have to work for a living and be a good citizen? This is one of the reason I support term limits. But, the moral and ethical standards of this country have been shot to pieces since the early part of the 20th Century and 1962, when God was removed from the classroom, was really the last straw for this country's future. Abraham Lincoln said, "The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next." The ills of our country and it so-called leadership, as well as the unwillingness of We the People to rise together to restore the Constitution, can be directly traced to 1962. _______________________________________________________ "Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason? It's True That Politicians Are Frequently Liars

While politicians are frequently liars, I think we live in a time when there's more lying by those "in authority" than ever before. Unfortunately I don't think the United States government has the high ground in that area anymore either.

I guess that's only fair...

I guess that's only fair for him to say considering he was supported by many in the US (including then Secretary of State Dean Rusk and former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt) whom he led to believe he was not a communist and only an Agrarian Reformer. I guess it takes one liar to recognize another one. _______________________________________________________ "Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason?
