Google Ads - Figuring Them Out

Google Ads - Figuring Them Out

Figuring out google ads is way too mind-boggling. One could try finding out the workings of an electron with much greater success, I am sure.

Sample this. My Danica Patrick fight video posting has an ad on “How to write fiction?” How did google figure out the fictitious nature of my contents or the lack of writing prowess? Its way too eerie. And I really must have got the keywords all mixed up because there is also an ad on fresh towels. I wish the fuzzy logic employed would not stretch that far!

And Milka Duno too doesn’t go unscathed. The Bonsai ad on the page featuring her photos could actually refer to her status in the auto racing world. There are two bonsai ads to maybe reinforce the statement!

And just to show how much pinpointed and thoughtful it all is, I have ads on toothpaste on topics on cleaning hair the right way as also useful information on dieting where the topic is on Government apathy. (Dieting as well as brushing appear to be the common solution apparently!)

The ad I have found most apt today appears on my posting on Wendy Willams fight Video on her show with Omarosa . The ad is on Democracy and the Free World!

Now, do you doubt Google - The Omniscient?

google ads - true

very true. but since google analyses the texts and comes up with related ads, often some weirdos might creep up, because the text might refer to something unrelated (like danica featured in a towel fight and the ad was on fresh towels!)...i really dont mean to detract from google's SE's efficacy!... why dont u give a link to your write up, idle? AdSense logic

Because Google analyzes the text to pick appropriate ads, the more text there is, the better job it can do picking appropriate ads (supposedly). And often a post will have generic ads when it is first posted. I checked the Danica Patrick blurb, and most of the ads are related to her. If I checked that blurb again, it might have totally different ads. But in general the more text Google has to work with, the better it can do matching ads to content. I wrote a xombyte nearly two years ago about some of the weird ads Google would come up with, especially for poetry, which has short text and words that aren't exactly chosen for search engine optimization!
