Final Day of Olympic Tennis - Three Gold Medals Still on the Table - 2008 Olympic Tennis Competition Comes to a Close in Beijing

Today, Sunday, August 17th will be the final day of Tennis competition during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

There are still three Gold Medals in play.

Today's Gold Medal matches include: the Gold Medal Men's Singles match between Rafael Nadal of Spain and Fernando Gonzalez of Chile, the Gold Medal Women's Singles match between Russian teammates Dinara Safina and Elena Dementieva, the Gold Medal Women's Doubles match with the Spanish pair of Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual going up against sisters and Wimbledon champs Serena Williams and Venus Williams of the United States.

There are also two Bronze Medal matches today.

Vera Zvonareva of Russia faces Li Na of China in the Bronze Medal Women's Singles Tennis match (If Zvonareva wins it will be a sweep for the Russian women). In Women's Doubles, Yan Zi and Zheng Jie of China pair up against another pair of sisters, Ukranians Alona and Kateryna Bondarenko.
