Early on, flames roared high into the sky from the fire reported around 1 a.m. Thursday at Milliron (MIL'-eye-urn) Industries in Mansfield in north-central Ohio. Firefighter Zach Gwirtz from nearby Shelby said the fire was in a stack of vehicles 30 feet high and about 200 yards around.
By midday, the pile was much lower to the ground but still flaming. Richland County emergency director Keith Markley says the smoke is going straight up and is not a health threat to the area.
At least one person has been hurt: a firefighter hospitalized for chest pains and dehydration.
