Fire! Fire!

This morning as I went to the mall at Alor Star, with my friends buying stuffs, I saw a fire extinguisher at one of the wall in the mall. It somehow triggered the images, live images in my head on an incident happen on December 2005…

If I just think about it again it just so hilarious to be in the situation with my best friend Ikmal. It happened when we were working at a bridal boutique in Alor Star. We were as daily routine can be working in the boutique serving the customers and me helping with the fitting. Everything seem fine, the day was fine.

Suddenly on of the customers saw smoke and fire at the main switch inside the boutique next to the front door. There were small but scary explosions, smoke and fire. Our boss quickly ask everyone in the boutique to go out to a safer place while a man, a customer, quickly get hold to a fire extinguisher and use it to put out the fire. I was out side at the time but my friend was still inside doing something or getting something. I was worry to death. White powder filled the boutique as the man extinguished the fire.

Then out of nowhere inside the boutique, immerged shadow at the front door running out side. It was Ikmal. Running through the white powder he then ran to me. That white powder from the fire extinguisher powdered his face and clothes as white as ghost. That was when my worry turned into laughter. Idealess he asked me why. Then noticed his powdered clothes, he wipe his face and laugh too.

I asked him what he did inside and he said – If I not mistaken- he went to the toilet to get a bucket of water to put out the fire. Thank god the fire is under control and he doesn’t have to worry about burning himself and become a real white ghost…

Thus, for those who read this, please take note that fire can seriously be a harmful thing and if you are at a place which caught with fire, then run away from that place!! Call police and fire fighter immediately.

This incident may be a laugher subject in a way but imagine if he trapped inside and the fire getting out of control, then I will lose my best friend ever…thanks god no one hurt…?
