Firefighters Called To Save.....Hamster.

Eight firefighters as well as a special care unit made a call to a house near Edinburgh, Scotland to....rescue a hamster.

That's right,they were sent to a house because a hamster escaped and crawled into a small hole in the kitchen. That's eight firemen and a special care unit not rescuing human beings in peril.

They spent a total of five hours in an attempt to liberate this wee beastie from freedom...

...and they failed.

"In the end we left it in the hands of the SSPCA."

SSPCA = Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

All I can say is, what a fantastic waste of resources.
