CIA Analyst Tom Donahue revealed this week that hackers have been able to hack into and cut power to several cities.

...to think that it could happen anywhere. we see financial data lost/stolen all the time but we general do not think that the same thieves stealing our identities could steal our power too.

Although it was the CIA doing the analysis, the cities affected by the sabotage were outside the U.S. Though they made it clear that these type of incidents could happen in the States.
