The most awaited movie of the year 2007, Rajnikanth’s ‘Sivaji’ finally hit the screens across several countries on June 14 as special premieres and on Friday, June 15 for the public. It was released over an estimated 850-900 screens worldwide, the largest for an Indian film.

In every country where the film was released, tickets have already been sold out for the first two weeks, and even more as in the case of Malaysia. Being also the costliest film ever made in India, the trade was sitting with its fingers crossed.
