Richard van Dijk has posted a nice review of the Focuspad creative writing activity for Moodle.  He illustrates setting up an activity,  entering a post and marking a post. This activity is ideal for a range of activities including journals,  essays,  blogs and teaching how to write in different styles via the use of templates.
