Sending a thank you letter after your interview could make the difference of whether you get the job or not.  Most people do not follow up.  A thank you letter can remind the employer of your qualifications and set you apart from the rest.  Additionally, its one final chance to say that your interested in the job and that you have the qualifications for the job.  It gives you one more opportuntiy to ask for the job.
