It's "Cuil" ... Former Google Execs Start New Search Engine
Several former executives at Google are launching their own new search engine on Monday, July 28th, and they say it aims to give more accurate search results than Google.
The new search engine is named Cuil (rhymes with cool).
Anna Patterson was only at Google for two years, but this article says she "helped design and build some of the pillars of the company’s search engine, including its large index of Web pages and some of the formulas it uses for ranking search results." Her husband, Tom Costello, is another key member of the Cuil team.
Of course, many other companies have tried to take on Google, but Cuil has some key former Google execs behind it. Some analysts are impressed with Cuil, so far. Starting Monday, Internet users will get to kick the tires of Cuil, and they will make the ultimate decision.
