Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has died of injuries sustained in a suicide bomb blast as she was leaving a political rally.

It is now being revealed that as well as the suicide bomb, there were assassins in the crowd and that she died from five gunshot wounds to the neck and chest. The assassin then blew himself up.

It is believed that the suicide bombing was a decoy to move her from the high security area to an area where she could be more accessible to the assassins.

She died at 6:16 pm Pakistan time.

The world has suffered a great loss and she will be mourned.

It is a terrible situation. Hundreds of thousands of protesters gathered at her funeral this morning. At least ten people were killed in protests overnight. Pakistan has erupted in riots all over the country and the protests have spilled over into Kashmir.
