Fossilized Remains Of Gigantic Snake Discovered
posted February 4, 2009 - 8:35pmCanadian researchers have discovered fossilized remains of a snake "as long as a bus" in Colombia.
The giant snake is believed to be related to modern boa constrictors. It lived approximately 58-60 million years ago in the ancient South American rain forest. It weighed about 2,500 pounds and probably ate alligators and crocodiles.
