Fox News Goes Apoplectic Over the Success of Working Families and ACORN

Fox News, or Faux News as it is more accurately known, has literally had a cow over ACORN. In October 2008 alone, ACORN has been mentioned 1500 times during Fox News broadcasts, which is about 1300 times more than CNN.

Instead of applauding a community grass-roots organization that is helping low income working families exercise their God-given rights to vote and have a voice in our government, which is something you don't see the Republican Party doing anything to support, Fox News and the Right-Wing of the Republican Party are doing everything they can to smear working families and make it appear to the ignorant Republican voters that Barack Obama is trying to steal the election.

I have two questions. One, why does Fox News devote so much time to attacking ACORN instead of telling us WHY John McCain is the better presidential candidate? Two, why don't Republicans do something about the working poor in this country, if they believe groups like ACORN are doing something bad?

The truth is there are certain elements of the Republican Party and the right wing of American politics that don't care about the middle and lower classes in this country. Indeed, many have publicly declared that the only reason anyone is poor is because they are lazy, abuse drugs/alcohol, or are irresponsible.

Given the current state of the economy, many of those same people that hurl epithets at Democrats and the poor may find themselves broke and homeless, wondering what the hell happened. They better pray the people they will look to for help are more compassionate than most of them are now.
