Free Global Warming Anthology Inspired By Henry David Thoreau
posted November 4, 2009 - 3:03pmIf you’re a fan of nature writing, and in particular a fan of Henry David Thoreau, then you will appreciate this free interactive anthology from the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and Penguin Classics. The book is entitled, Thoreau’s Legacy: American Stories About Global Warming, and contains a collection of personal essays and images from 67 American writers and photographers on how global climate change is affecting the people and places they love, and what, as individuals, they are trying to do about it. The contributors represent 32 states, come from all walks of life, and are a mix of both new voices and well-established professionals.
A free interactive copy of the book is available online now. A limited edition hard copy will also be available for purchase in the future as well as an ebook. Enjoy!
