They say the best things in life are free.Prime examples include walks in the park, the beach(in some countries), sex(for most people) and now you can add holidays to the list. Spain is a country obsessed with learning English,hence the legion of English teachers scattered nbsp; around the country.

The methods people chose to learn English vary. Some take daily classes focusing on grammar, with little spoken English while others just want the intensive experience of speaking English 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You find a lot of the youth of these countries spend a year overseas working menial jobs which they are totally overqualified for just to improve their English. One former student told me that having fluent English for a Spaniard is as important if not more so than an MBA.

So you may rightly ask, how does English obsessed Spaniards have anything to do with a free holiday. In Madrid,  two competing companies the first  called PuebloIngles http://www.morethanenglish.com and Vaughan systems http://www.vaughantown.com offer native English speakers a free holiday. However this is no ordinary holiday. You are sent to a remote village in the mountains a few hours drive from Madrid with a group of Spaniards (Students of all ages) and native speakers. Through various games and activities you help the Spaniards improve there English while you have fun, eat great food, and make lots of new friends.

The only cost incurred is that of the flights.  The rest is on the company. I only have experience with Pueblo Ingles, an experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. I can’t advise this more for everyone from the skint backpacker to those who are just looking for a bit of adventure and break from the routine.
