If you are like me, you need at least half a dozen separate calendars to keep track of your kids, projects, job hours, and a few things you won't even find out about until 2009.

You could go to your local stationery store and buy a separate calendar for each item or buy a big desk calendar and hope that everything you need to write down will fit.

The other option is to print out your own calendar from the Internet for pennies per year. For those of you with kids, it also makes a fun project for crayons or markers and gets your young ones thinking about how days, weeks, and months work together.

• Free Printable Calendar. These calendars are in Rich Text Format (RTF) for your computer.
• Free Printable 2009 Calendar PagesDifferent calendar designs that children can help make.
