Freed Journalist Roxana Saberi Back in the U.S.; Singing National Anthem Kept Her Going

Roxana Saberi, the American-Iranian journalist who spend four months in an Iranian prison, is back in the United States. In a brief talk with reporters at Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C., Saberi told them that singing the American national anthem helped her keep her spirits up. "And it may sound corny, but I'm so happy to be home in the land of the free," Saberi said.

A native of Fargo, North Dakota, the 32-year-old Saberi moved to Iran six years ago and was a freelance journalist for the BBC, National Public Radio, and other media outlets. Her father is from Iran, and she holds dual citizenship.
